My first novel started with a mole. Yes, a MOLE - a freckle, a birthmark, whatever you want to call it.
I was at the pool with my daughter getting ignored by our swim instructor when a lifeguard with a particularly ripped abdomen walked by. He stopped to flirt with one of the female lifeguards and my eyes flew directly to an adorable mole on the top can of his six-pack.
"How cute!" I thought (among other things). "He looks like a character in a romance novel!"
So I went home and started writing fiction for the first time. That was over a year ago and I still haven't been able to stop. GRAVY is the story of a suburban housewife who wants another baby, but gets a man with a mole instead.
It has taken me forever, but now my children do it too!! And yes,it is the MOST BEAUTIFUL THING EVER!!! I must confess to sometimes joining them in the land of nod!
That is an awesome photo. Love the fact that they are both sleeping the exact same way, AND at the same time. Mine rarely did that, and when the third came along, they never did that. Oh well, now none of them nap. Your kids are so adorable.
Love that picture!! It cracks me up that both kids have their right hands behind their heads. Too cute!!
And Genoa is getting so BIG! It's amazing how babies do that, huh?

Both mine do that, too... One is 2, one will be a month on Monday.
What is the contraption Genoa is sleeping in? Is that a co-sleeper ? I'm thinking about getting one, what do you recomend ?

That is so adorable! I also like the fact that they are basically in the same position.

You are a daring one to take the photo! In my home that would mean automatic end of naptime.

Love is WHAT HAPPENS when your children nap at the same time.
(Barf, I know. But I couldn't help it.)

All the freaks and geeks were in the East Bay for the "How Berkeley Can You Be" parade and festival. Walking naked in the streets. It was awesome!
